Current status of diabetes in my country

A report published by JAMA in 2013 showed that: It is estimated that there are more than 113.9 million diabetic patients and 493.4 million pre-diabetes among Chinese adults ≥ 20 years of age1. In other words, the development trend of diabetes in China is becoming more and more serious like "influenza", and the diabetes reserve army is also increasing substantially. This shows that diabetes may affect every family in the next few years, which will pose a serious threat to the health of our people and bring a heavy burden to society. From now on, the whole society should be mobilized to carry out extensive health education and promote a healthy lifestyle, which will play an important role in improving the health of the people.
